Family Law, but also covering Wills and Trusts, Civil Litigation,
Contract Law, Employment and Business Law, and Personal Injury.
Ms. Blessing concentrates her practice in family law and is a
member of Collaborative Family Law Affiliates. She has received
appointments from the Bench as Arbitrator, Mediator, Special Master,
Child Advocate, and Guardian Ad Litem. Licensed in Pennsylvania
and New Jersey, she is an active member of the Pennsylvania and
Montgomery Bars, often participating as author and/or lecturer
for continuing legal educational programs. As the Council Member
liaison between the PBA Family Law Section and Children’s
Rights Committees, she participates in both Legislative Action
Sub-committee. She is Chair of the Continuing Legal Education
Committee of Montgomery County, a member of the Montgomery Bar
Trial Lawyers Section, a former Chair and continuing member of
the Family Law Section and past President and continuing executive
committee member of the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court.
Ms. Blessing offers diversified mediation and arbitration services
through her secondary practice, Maribeth Blessing, Mediation &
Arbitration, LLC. An Advanced Practitioner with the Association
of Conflict Resolution, Ms. Blessing received her basic mediation
training at the National Center For Mediation Education. She serves
as a member of the Montgomery County Court Mediation Advisory
Panel and Family Law Mediation Subcommittee. Arbitration training
was received from the American Bar Association Section Of Family
Law.
Additionally, Ms. Blessing was an Instructor for Penn State
University, teaching their evening paralegal program in the areas
of Domestic Relations and Basic Legal Principles. As a magna
cum laude graduate of Kutztown University with course work
in a Master's program for the learning handicapped, Ms. Blessing
was a teacher prior to her work in the legal field. Her legal
career began as a Hearing Officer for Bucks and Montgomery Counties
in the 80's. A cum laude 1991 graduate of Widener University
School of Law, Ms. Blessing received the University’s 2003
Outstanding Service Award. |
